I founded Kirkland Electric with one goal in mind: to provide quality electrical work at a fair price—with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing what’s right.

Before starting my own business, I worked for some of the largest electrical companies in the area. Time and time again, I saw a pattern: profit over people. During job interviews, I was asked how much money I wanted to make. I gave an honest answer—somewhere in the industry standard range of $80K–$100K. Instead of discussing my skills or experience, they laughed and told me I’d be fired if I wasn’t making at least $130K. I quickly learned why: commissions and aggressive sales tactics.

At these companies, I was told to sell electrical work—even if the customer didn’t need it. Fear-based sales tactics were encouraged, with electricians trained to pressure homeowners into unnecessary services by suggesting their homes could be at risk. Prices were inflated based on zip codes and Zillow estimates, and customers were left in the dark—literally and figuratively—about the work being done. Worst of all, many of these companies prioritized profits so much that the actual workmanship suffered.

I refused to be part of that.

That’s why I started Kirkland Electric—to restore integrity to the electrical trade. Here, we believe in transparency, fairness, and quality. We don’t upsell. We don’t overcharge. We assess, educate, and repair—because electricity either works, or it doesn’t.

I grew up just outside of Seattle, facing challenges that required me to develop resilience and independence at an early age. My path wasn’t easy, but I made a choice—to take control of my future, push myself to grow every day, and build a life defined by hard work and integrity.

In 2014, I was given an opportunity that changed everything: an apprenticeship in electrical work. From the moment I stepped onto the job site, I knew this trade was something special. I wasn’t just learning a skill—I was learning a craft that required precision, patience, and a deep respect for the work itself. I was fortunate to be trained by true tradesmen—mentors who instilled in me the importance of integrity, pride in workmanship, and never cutting corners.

Determined to master my craft, I sought out every opportunity to expand my knowledge. I worked in service repairs, custom homes, solar installations, architectural lighting, and smart home technology. I wanted to understand every aspect of electrical work, not just as a job, but as a discipline that requires skill, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to doing things right.

But as I gained experience, I struggled to find a company that truly aligned with my values. Too often, I saw businesses that prioritized sales over service, speed over quality, and profit over the integrity of the trade itself. That didn’t sit right with me.<br>

So, in November 2023, at the age of 34, I made the decision to bet on myself and founded Kirkland Electric—a company built on the principles that have guided me since my first day as an apprentice: respect for the trade, a commitment to quality, and a promise to always put the customer first.

For me, electrical work isn’t just a business—it’s a profession I take immense pride in. And at Kirkland Electric, every job reflects that commitment.

Our partnerships with trusted local suppliers and our deep knowledge of the latest technology allow us to deliver top-tier solutions at fair prices.

As an authorized Generac dealer and certified service provider, we also offer a variety of standby power systems, backup generators, and maintenance services to keep homes powered through any situation.
